To escape the law of death, you must die to self
The first second thing we learn about the law of the mind from Romans 7, is that it has no escape other than death.Â
The only way to escape a realm or a kingdom is through death. For example, you only come out of the earth realm after death. So it is with the law of the mind.
7 Or do you not know, brethren (for I speak to those who know the law), that the law [a]has dominion over a man as long as he lives? 2 For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband dies, she is released from the law of her husband. 3 So then if, while her husband lives, she marries another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so that she is no adulteress, though she has married another man. 4 Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God (Rom. 7:1-5, NKJV).
To escape the law of the mind, you must die to the law and be married to another. How do you die to the law? By being united with Christ in his death on the cross; by believing that when Christ died, you died with him and thus the cross freed you from trying to please God by obeying a set of rules.
People who die to the law do not believe that following a set of ‘do not’ rules makes them righteous. Such people get delivered to the point where whatever they do is in fulfillment to the law because of who you have been married to.
In other words, their life produces the law instead of operating under it. They become law makers just like Jesus, who while on earth, fulfilled the law in his daily life because he was producing it.
Christianity is not a function of exercising rudiment routines until you gain mastery of righteousness or holiness, it is majorly a nature you partake in by new birth.Â
