Unlocking the power within

Unlocking the Power Within

By Pastor James Kimathi

The power of God in us manifests through the incorruptible seed of the implanted word of God in our lives. Sometimes when in tough situations, the Holy Spitit brings to remembrance a word from within that encourages and carries us through.

but the word of the Lord endures forever.”[a]And this is the word that was preached to you (1 Peter 1:25, NIV).

The verse above says that the word of God endures forever. If this word is implanted in us, how much more shall we ednure being carriers of the word that endures forever?

The other manifestation of the power within is Hope.

19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,… (Heb. 6:19-20, NIV).

In the face of trouble, the anchor of your sould should not be money, possessions or earthly things, it should be the hope that enters the inner sanctuary to where you know you have apprehended God. The Bible goes ahead and assures us that this hope does not disappoint.

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us (Rom. 5:5, NKJV).

The power within also manifests as the love of Christ.

14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; 15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again (2 Cor. 5:14-15, NKJV).

The love that God has deposited in us compels us even when things seem to work against us.
