The third strategy that the devil uses to weaken the power of believers is to hinder the maturity and the manifestation of the seed.
22 Then Pharaoh gave this order to all his people: “Every Hebrew boy that is born you must throw into the Nile, but let every girl live.” (Ex. 1:22, NIV).
If you have been following this far, you notice that the Pharaoh started by trying to stop conception by overworking the Israelites, when this failed he got Egyptian midwives tasked with ensuring that Hebrew baby boys died at birth. However, this too did not work and he then advised that all the baby boys born to hebrew women be drowned in the River Nile.
Fortunately, God gave discernment to a woman called Jochebed to realise that she was not carrying an ordinary child.
23 By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict (Heb. 11:23, NIV).
As a believer, there are battles you win just by knowing that you are not a mere ordinary person that can be swayed and taken down by every storm that comes your way.
Prayer: Dear Lord, may you give me discernment to realise that i am not an ordinary person and that there is power resident in me to overcome the challenges and storms of life.
