In a previous study, we identified the ability of the law of the mind to awaken the consciouness of sin in us as one of the traits. It is important to emphasize that the law of the mind is not sinful because there has been an erroneous teaching in churches that depicts the law of the mind as sinful.
On the contrary, the law is holy as we mentioned previously. Nevertheless, it is like a mirror that shows us who we are and, like we said in a previous study, defines sin for us.
You would think that once an instruction is given through the law, it results into cleansing. Unfortunately, for a carnal person, once the instruction is received and they understand it, they also want to attempt what the instruction or the law has prohibited them to do.
In fact, the Bible says that the law arouses sinful passions in us so that what we want to do we do not and what we do we do not want to do.
5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death.(Rom. 7:5, NKJV).
Nevertheless, you should not hate the law of God. Instead, you should work on accommodating it in your life differently so that it ministers life instead of death.
