Be clothed with His Righteousness
By Pastor James Kimathi
9 Then he said to me, “See that you do not do that. [d]For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.” 10 And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand. 11 He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him [e]be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.”
Jesus Testifies to the Churches
12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 14 Blessed are those who [g]do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 [h]But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. (Rev. 22: 9-12, NKJV)
We still are in March the month of reward. Our devotion today will take a slightly different trajectory as you will see as you read on.
When you focus on the scripture above, you realise that the reward spoken about are for them that do good and them that do unrighteous things. In other words, every man wil be rewarded according to their deeds whether good or bad.
Please note that the scripture above was part of the letters sent to the seven churches. Also note that this word was fulfilled. Take note of how the writer sign off his address; “14 Blessed are those who [g]do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 [h]But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.”
I pray that as we continue to proclaim the year of the open door, may none of us be among those who insist on doing filthy things.
